Trade Agreements

Active ILAFA members may check a data base in ILAFA's Extranet (MEMBERS ACCESS) with extraregional tariffs and intraregional preferential tariffs for each steel chapter of the harmonized system and the main derived products. Also, a full inventory is available with extraregional agreements between countries of the area.

Capacity Building

As a regional Latin American organization, ILAFA only holds local events with the participation of member national institutions or companies. However, it has prepared or sponsors the following free-access material on capacity building:

Steel Industry: www.steeluniversity.org is an e-learning program introducing the principles of ferrous metallurgy, steel processes, steel use technology, as well as industry sustainability.

Steel Construction: www.construccionenacero.com is a material for the teaching of steel construction. It comprises theoretical classes with audiovisual aids and an electronic interactive exercise book.
